The extruder production line can continuously produce plastic pipes.Since the pipes are continuously produced and the pipes have a fixed length stipulated in the standard,in order to ensure the standard length of the pipes,we need to use auxiliary equipment like cutting machine to cut the pipes according to the required length.Different specifications of pipe will use different cutting machine,so how should we choose cutting machine?I have prepared the following materials,which I hope will be helpful to you.

Pipe cutting methods can generally be divided into two types:manual cutting and automatic cutting.When we produce pipes with small diameters(within 50mm pipe diameter),many manufacturers will use saws to cut by hand in many cases.However,in order to improve the production efficiency of plastic pipes and ensure the length accuracy of the pipes,the production lines of extruders produced now will also be equipped with automatic cutting machines.

The knives used on the extruder can be cut with a circular saw blade or with a circular grinding wheel.The saw blade or grinding wheel is directly driven by the motor and the V-belt to rotate at high speed.When the pipe that is extruded and running forward reaches the required length,the clamping device on the cutting machine clamps the pipe,and the saw blade starts to cut the pipe.At this time,the entire clamping and cutting mechanism slides forward together on the track of the cutting machine along with the extrusion traction thrust of the pipe moving forward.When the pipe is cut,the saw blade stops rotating,the clamping device is opened,and the cutting and clamping device returns to its original position along the original advancing track,ready for the next cutting action.

For some small-diameter pipes,we will use the lift-knife cutting machine.This cutting machine is the simplest and has a lower cost of use.This type of cutting machine is generally used for pipes with lower production requirements.

Sometimes we also choose Dust-free cutting machines,which have complicated manufacturing processes and good cutting effects.Generally,this kind of cutting machine is mostly selected for the production of some pipes that have high requirements on the production environment.

When we use a plastic extruder to produce larger diameter pipes,we choose a planetary automatic cutting machine,which is formed by a combination of multiple small diameter saw blades that form a circle around the pipe to be cut.When the pipe needs to be cut,these small-diameter saw blades can both rotate at high speed and revolve around the outer circle of the pipe.Using this method to cut large-diameter pipes,the cutting speed is fast and the end face of the cutting port is flat.
